Discover the Heart of Invercargill’s Local Market

Our Story

Since 2006, the Southern Farmers Market has been a vibrant hub where local growers, artisans, and food lovers come together. What began with just 14 stalls has grown into a thriving Sunday tradition, now hosting up to 40 vendors and welcoming 1,500 visitors each week. From farm-fresh produce and handcrafted goods to delicious bites, the market is a place to connect, shop, and support local businesses.

Held at the historic old Railway Station on Leven Street, the market embraces Southland’s rich heritage while championing sustainability and small-scale producers. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, the Southern Farmers Market invites you to experience the best of local food, craftsmanship, and community in a lively, welcoming setting
